Lyman Street to be closed for bridge repairs.

The office of State Representative Aaron Vega announced that repairs to the bridge deck on lower Lyman St will begin on Monday, April 25, and are currently expected to take 1-2 weeks.



During the day while repairs are being made traffic will be detoured to Dwight Street, from about 7:00AM to 3:30PM, Monday thru Friday, until the repair work is completed.

The thin, rough blacktop surface will be removed, and the surface of concrete deck repaired for better rideability. MassDOT will likely issue a traffic advisory about the daily detours soon.



Complete replacement of the bridge has been delayed many years by MassDOT due to budgetary constraints.
