After a year long closure the
Electric Cafe at Open Square has reopened under new managment. Open Square has partnered with Kevin Sahagian of
Captain Jack's Roadside Shack. They will be serving breakfast and lunch from 7:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday - Friday. The menu includes the usual coffee and sandwiches plus local beer.
The space has been redecorated with new colors, and glass panels reclaimed from the Holyoke Library renovation project.
Former incarnations of the cafe at Open Square have suffered from slow business and irregular hours. The food was always good but the cafe was often closed for no apparent reason. Personality clashes with Open Square management also gave the place a bad vibe driving yet more customers away. The new cafe has yet to reclaim its
